CasaStorica
The house of tales and history
The Casa Storica in Andeer is also a museum that explores the history of the Posterior Rhine valleys and the transport trails over the Splügen and San Bernardino passes. At the same time, these historical rooms serve as a stage for historical productions: The museum’s founder and performer Erwin Dirnberger offers different scenic tours in the museum such as mobility history (“From the Roman road to the automobile”). These tours can be combined with a “Marenda Pintga” (a traditional “farmhouse tea”) in the hospitality lounge of the Casa Storica. The museum exhibits include documents about mule transport – the movement of goods across the Alps in medieval and Renaissance times – as well as postcards, writings, antiques and curios from the Viamala Region.
