Forum Würth Chur
The arts centre of Graubünden, sponsored by the Würth Company
The Würth Forum in Chur holds regular exhibitions of works from the Würth Collection, which includes 18,000 items of international significance, mainly from the 20th and 21st centuries. These exhibitions, which are held in the administrative building of Würth International, are organised by subject or artist. Guided tours and comprehensive accompanying programmes help make them more accessible to the public. For further information on our current exhibition and the accompanying programme, please see our website: www.forum-wuerth.ch/chur. The grounds of the Würth Cultural Forum building house a permanent exhibition of sculpture. Items of interest include works by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002), Jean Tinguely (1925-1991), Bernhard Luginbühl (1929-2011), Not Vital (*1948) and Carlo Borer (*1961). Since its opening in 2002, it regularly hosts events, such as jazz and classical music concerts, comedy shows and gospel concerts. The Würth Forum generally draws on the Würth Collection for its exhibitions. The Collection was initiated by Reinhold Würth in the 1960s. Its prime focus is on painting, prints and sculpture of the 20th and 21st centuries, although it also includes an important collection of Late Medieval works from Southern Germany, the region around Lake Constance, and Northern Switzerland, as well as Baroque objects previously belonging to cabinets of curiosity. Today, the Würth Collection comprises over 18,000 works. The Corporate Collection has been on display for more than 25 years, primarily at the company headquarters at Museum Würth in Künzelsau in Southern Germany, and at the Kunsthalle Würth in Schwäbisch Hall, which was opened in 2001. Since 1999, associated art galleries have been founded one after the other at the Würth national offices in Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria and Spain. Temporary exhibitions are shown in Switzerland at the Forum Würth in Chur, the Forum Würth in Rorschach and the Forum Würth in Arlesheim.
