Fundaziun Capauliana
Probably the largest private art collection in Graubünden
The Fundaziun Capauliana is a formerly private collection. It was founded in 1986 by husband and wife Duri Capaul and Clara Capaul-Hunkeler. Throughout their lives, they both dedicated themselves to building up the extensive collection of historical cultural objects and works of art from Graubünden. The wide-ranging collection includes works such as oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, prints, posters, photographs, maps and postcards. It encompasses nearly 30,000 works. The collection is well catalogued and accessible via the online catalogue (integrated into the website) for research purposes, publication or loan requests.
