Old Coat of Arms of the Canton of Graubünden

The lamp features the old coat of arms of the Three Leagues from 1524, which remained in use until 1932. The emblem adorns one of the first electric lamps from the Engadin, dating from 1890. It was used in Badrutt's Palace before it found its way to my parents’ house in Ftan. As a child, I trusted in St. George and the Wild Man and their magical powers. Even today, the three coats of arms symbolize home and security in a free country to me. VIVA for the LIA of the 3 leagues!
