Museum local Vnà

The museum of historical everyday items

This small and quaint museum reflects the history and present day of the village of Vnà: What is shown are historical items from agriculture and further occupational groups that were important in Vnà. On top of that, contemporary documents remind of poets, painters and composers from the village and the collection embraces some 400 items. The present day is seen in commitment to the museum and the village. Founded in 1978, the museum association now boasts over 100 members, which amounts to 30 more than the number of village inhabitants. The museum is complemented by what is best described as a “living dictionary”. The “Dicziunari rumantsch” provides comparisons of expressions in the languages Rhaeto-Romanic, Italian, German and English and appropriate signs are fixed to houses throughout the entire village.
