The historical lifestyle museum in Savognin
The Curvanera Museum in Savognin dedicated to the agricultural life in pre&industrial times. The present-day house with its adjoining stable arose in four building stages from a mediaeval high rise building. The extensions show the cautious improvements in living standards. Everyday life then is documented by everyday items and agricultural evices as well as historical forms of transport. Here, in the arched dug out cellar there is a mighty storage chest carved from a single large trunk and a rotating storage table, while amongst other things, the stable contains all the sledges. The living room is decorated by a sideboard from the 17th century. In this historical ambiance, the museum regularly runs exhibitions on various aspects of the valley culture. The Curvanera Museum documents life in pre-industrial times in a farmhouse which is a mediaeval high rise building. The exhibits are arranged according to their original purpose in the respective rooms. The living room features a 17th century sideboard, the cellar a large cheese storage chest and the stable contains various sledges. The arrangement of the rooms is simple and corresponds to the historical lifestyle.
