Porta Cultura Presentation: Cultural Diversity Goes Digital

The heritage of the canton of Graubünden is preserved not only in cultural institutions; countless natural features found throughout the landscape of Graubünden also form part of it. One example is the Giardino dei Ghiacciai, an open-air museum centred around so-called glacial potholes (also known as “giant’s kettles”): hollows in the rock formed thousands of years ago by glacial erosion that are a testament to the region’s geological evolution.

Graubünden’s cultural portal, Porta Cultura, makes this diverse and often surprising cultural and historical heritage centrally visible and accessible — and much more besides. Using examples from the Giardino dei Ghiacciai, the presentation offers an insight into the portal: how it works, what content it presents, and how this content can be used.
